Lynx swims at Western Regionals Championships
The CU Denver Swim team was successful in their trip to Regionals in Irvine, CA
Mission Veijo, Cal – The University of Colorado Denver’s Club Swim team competed in Western Regionals Championships, hosted by UC Irvine and College Club Swimming this past weekend November 8-9, 2025. From Saturday to Sunday, our swimmers swam in both Preliminaries and Finals, with two swimmers swimming in A and B Finals.
Suited up and in lower elevation, our swimmers swam their absolute best, seeing time-drops from everyone, and even personal-records set. Bringing 11 swimmers, an all-time best for the swim club, CU Denver (LYNX) placed 20th out of 32 teams, scoring a total of 380.1 FINA team points (with a score of 75).
Anna Cattles was one of the top performers for the Lynx Cats, qualifying for both A-Finals for the 50 Breast SCY and 100 Breast SCY. Placing 7th in Prelims in the 50 Breast SCY, Anna finished top 7th out of 103 swimmers in A-Finals, with a time of 31.86, dropping .24 milliseconds. Additionally, Anna finished top 7th in Prelims in the 100 Breast SCY, and placed 6th out of 91 swimmers in A-Finals, with a time of 1:08.96. Anna’s times for both events punched her ticket to College Club Swimming Nationals Championships.
Kiyah Dotson was another top performer for the Lynx Cats, qualifying for B-Finals for the 50 Breast SCY. During Prelims, she placed 18th and finished top 15th in B-Final out of 103 swimmers, with a time of 33.32. She also punched her ticket to College Club Swimming Nationals Championships.
College Club Swimming Nationals Championships will be held April 10-12, 2026 in Greensboro, North Carolina at Greensboro Aquatic Center.
