Women's Volleyball at Regionals
Women's Volleyball travels to University of Northern Colorado for regionals and first games of the semester
The University of Colorado Denver Women’s Volleyball Team travels to Greely this Sunday the 8th to compete in their Regionals tournament. It’s their first game of the semester where they will compete with teams such as Metropolitan State University and The Air Force Academy, the teams will go head to head at University of Northern Colorado.
“It’s been a while since I last played!” says Sophia Counter. The Middle Blocker expressed excitement with this upcoming tournament, the last time Counter has played was ‘25 Spring Semester. When speaking to Brian, Coach of Women's Volleyball, he expresses the effort and dedication the team has. "The teams are pretty tough, but that's better for us. We would rather have challenging competitors." He's also looking forward to watching the girl's apply new techniques on game floor.
When asked, J Lee Brown says she’s most excited about trying to spot while spiking, a skill she’s been honing in on and polishing with each practice. What makes this team strong is the relationship and friendships everyone has built. They continue to push each other and support one another when learning new skills. The community they have built is special and only continues to grow with every practice and match. Wishing them luck on their journey this weekend in Greely, Colorado.
